Q. What is the purpose of the software?
A. Provides an tool for tracking anything movable from train to pet with or without zone preference.

Q. What special about the application?
A. You can show target(Helpee) locations on map in real time. Switch between street map and satellite map feature is available to use. It can monitor Helpee's battery level in realtime. The software can tell mileage and time of tracks. Showing radius of circle zone on map is helpful while drawing in lack of refferences area. You can even get more zone features... in future professional versions.

Q. Can SafeZone track multiple targets?
A. Yes, SafeZone can track multiple targets and keeps tracking records, you can review them whenever you want.

Q. Can SafeZone track it self?
A. Yes, Just give the phone's number for the phone entry while you setting up the task. Using it this way, it is very convenience and economic to learn and get experience with this software(SafeZone). Simply, You can really track your self with or without internet connection. Doing so, you only need to use one sms.

Q. If I don't have phone service, can I use SafeZone?
A. Yes, you can use SafeZone to track yourself, if you give it a special number(15555215558) as phone number. We have tested it on unlocked Google Nexus phone, it works.

Q. Does SafeZone has the Anti-Thief_Find_Lost_Phone feature in the tracking password way?
A. Yes, starting from version 1.9, you can use any Android phone with SafeZone to track your missing phone which SafeZone installed and Tracking Password setted. Do all stuffs to the tracker phone after your phone missing; No advance requirements to the tracker phone.

You can change the background to what the button shown to suit your preference.

Click menu button>Manage zones
In Zones List activity, click menu button>Add zone
When in Edit or Add Zone activity , select a zone type by click on a radio button. On [enter address entry], just enter an address(which can be a mailing address{include country name is more promised} or gps location[e.g. 40.123456 -74.654321]) that is near the zone you are going to draw. At this point, there is a draw zone button which is use for launching the Draw Zone activity(See 9. How to draw zone? ). On [name entry], give it a meanningful name like my farming range.

Click menu button>Manage phones

When in Edit or Add Phone activity, on name entry, give it a descriptive name which can identify the phone. On phone number entry, just enter number of the phone. That is it.

Launch SafeZone
Menu>Setting>Manage Tasks List
Menu>Add New Task
(or Menu>Setting>Add Task)
The Add/Edit Task activity is now show up.
Enter task name:
You must give it a name(Give it a meaningful name like horse guard).

Select a phone:
Select a phone from the phone spinner; if you don't have a phone profile, you can use the current menu and select manage phone item and see how to setup a phone profile instruction from the Help menu item to have it done.

Select a zone:
Select a zone from the zone spinner; if you don't have the zone you want, you can use the current menu and select manage zone item and see how to setup a zone instruction from the Help menu item to get it done.

Enter minimum sampling time:
Input a minimum sampling time(minTime); this and the minimum distance(minDistance) determine the rought number of GPS locations per second to report to you. Choose a proper minTime is important to you battery life and your sms cost management(if for remote use).

Enter minimum sampling distance:
Input a minimum distance; if the minDistance is not zero, it will means that the phone move that amount of distance if in less than minTime seconds you should get one location report; minDistance is more important than minTime to you batery life and your sms cost management, you should set it to a properly value; value like greater than or equal to 50 meters for walking; Even greater than that if you are driving or taking a car or bus.  Especially, if you don't have unlimited sms plan and you are setting it up for remote use.

Enter a report time:
Input a report time; Report time is how ofen you getting a report; It is wise to choose a report time that you can save sms consumtion , acceptable report waiting time and lower big report losing risk. Enter monitor time:
 The time that you want tracks to be report if certain other conditions are met.

Select a repeat period or dates:
The options are Everyday, Everyweek, Everymonth or individual Dates.

If you choose Everyday, you need to fill out the Time Segments section.
If you choose Everyweek, you need to fill out the Select days of a week and the Time Segments sections.
If you choose Everymonth, you need to fill out the Enter days of a month and the Time Segments sections.

Enter track time per file:
The minimum tracking time that you can load on the map. For example, if you enter 30 minutes, than you can manually load the map 30 minutes of tracks at a time. Enter Helper alarm message(not in SafeZone Basic):
For now, just ignore this entry.

Enable Helpee alarm:
Ignore this entry too.

Enter Helpee alarm:
Also ignore this entry.

Select monitor Helpee battery level option:
Always-- Always monitor Helpee battery level.
Under 50%-- Monitor Helpee battery level when it is under 50%.
Under or equal low level-- Monitor Helpee battery level when it is equal or under low level(like 33%).
Never --No monitor

Enable Task:
Activate the task, so you can monitor Helpee's tracks.

Done button: Click Done button when you think you have complete the task input. You will be prompt for setting the task on Helpee, you either click ok or cancel. If you click cancel, your input is saved, you can do the setting later.

How to enable a task?

Select menu>Setting >Manage tasks When in task list activity, just select the check box if it is not already checked(otherwise you can disable it then renable it). When the confirm action dialog come up, click yes to complete your intention.

How to disable a task?

We do this of cause when the task is already enabled. Select menu>Setting >Manage tasks When in task list activity, just select the disable check box. When the confirm action dialog come up, click yes to complete your intention.

Select Tracks List, pick a task from Tracks List then select track(s) from Task Tracks List. Click back key to view it or them on map. Battery level icon is located at the upper right hand corner. Click the icon to view your Helpee's most recent battery level report.

Select Auto Update Options then select Pause to pause tracking on map. select Restore to back to auto tracking.

There are two options under the catagory. One is Cleaar-to-No-Task that means clear drawing completely. The other one is Clear-Tracks-only that means just clean up al track nodes.

By toggling this menu item you can switch between street map and satellite map.

Click on map to add zone node.
To undo a node, select menu>undo which would delete the most resent node.
Note that, in circle zone type, first node is the center of the circle zone; second node defines the radius of the zone.
Radius of the circle zone you draw would display on the map; you will find this is a very good feature when you setting up zones in lack of references area. Back to the table of content

Let you enable or disable and delete a Helper. By enable a Helper, you give permission to the Helper to track your location.

In remote case, Helper means the tracking side and Helpee means the side being tacked.

Starting from SafeZone Basic version 1.9, this feature is added. Open SafeZone, select Menu, Setting then Tracking Password. When in Tracking Password Setup activity, you can setup your password here; Password requires at least 6 characters, at least 1 letter and at least 1 number; Comma and colon is not allowed. You can also change your password here; All you have to do is to enter the old password and create a new password.

Starting from SafeZone Basic version 1.9, this feature is added. Open SafeZone, select Menu, Setting then Request Tracking Permission. When in Request Tracking Permission activity, you can request tracking permission here. After you get the tracking permission confirmation, you then setup a task for the missing phone, enable it and then wait for tracking reports; use any of the reports to start auto display tracking on map.

Start from version 2.2, we add a save battery option, to enable this option, in helpee phone, open SafeZone Basic, click Menu } Setting } Preferences, then check save battery option checkbox, however doing so may cause up to 2 minutes tracking gaps(They are rare). To disable this option, just uncheck the checkbox.
